Bobbi & Ryan

If you’re going to do an engagement shoot, nothing beats doing it in the city you love and live in. When Bobbi asked if I would photograph them in Seattle, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. One thing is for sure, Seattle is known for it’s rain.. and oh it rained (a lot). It was magical. It brought out silly moments and super romantic one’s too.  Towards the end we were drenched. It really didn’t matter. It was perfect. Looking forward to their wedding in October.

Katie + Kevin

Katie & Kevin’s wedding was perfection. Even with the nonstop rain it made the day that much more. In Katie’s words she wanted her wedding to feel modern, chic, and have a sense of traditional elegance. This wedding was all that and seriously fun! The ceremony took place at St. Sebastian’s in Akron and the Reception was held at the Akron Art Museum. My favorite part was photographing the limbo that was happening on the dance floor. Who knew tying two ties together and you got yourself a party! Also I loved the table of Swenson burgers at the end of the night. Such a great idea for a late night take home treat. Thank you so much Katie & Kevin for trusting me to document your perfect day. You and your families are wonderful.

Portland

Oh Portland you stole my heart. Oregon is just insanely beautiful. Here are a few landscapes that I took. Can’t wait to go back some day.

Rebecca + Colin

This wedding was filled with incredible music, colorful details, frozen custard yumminess, and silly laughter for days. It all started off at Illusions Unlimited Salon where Rebecca and the girls got ready. We then went to her house to get dressed. The back lace piece was originally from her mother’s wedding dress.  Loved how it was incorporated into hers. The ceremony took place at St. Bridget of Kildare Parish. Afterwards Rebecca & Colin wanted to get some photos at their favorite frozen custard place East Cost Original. I personally loved this. So many cute and quirky moments here. I think it’s always awesome when a favorite place can be part of your wedding day. Rebecca works at the Cleveland Public Library so it was a perfect addition to stop there for more photos. The Reception took place at 78th St. Studios. My favorite part was watching Rebecca & Colin cut the cake and psyching him by eating the piece herself. First time seeing that! A great example of how fun loving this couple is. You can just tell they will be silly, and unpredictably funny with each other for the rest of their lives. That to me is a great start to a wonderful marriage. Congrats Rebecca & Colin!! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your unique in so many wonderful ways wedding.

Liz + Patrick

This was a very very pretty wedding. Gorgeous garden party theme complete with macaroons, charming bird cages, delicate antique tea cups, and even a custom made corn hole all in the prettiest pastels for a perfect summer wedding. When meeting Liz for the first time, she swore it would rain on her wedding day. Not only did it not rain, it was the hottest day this summer! Woowee was it a hot one.  We started off at Liz & Patrick’s new house in Lakewood, then headed off to St. Ignatius For the ceremony. Afterwards we stopped downtown for a few city shots, and then to Mooreland Mansion for the reception. The gardens at the mansion are breathtakingly beautiful. All together this day was so charming and lovely. I will say things got pretty wild towards the end of the night. My favorite part was watching the guys pick up Liz and do some sort of “bride pushup” in the air. It was fun, lot’s and lot’s of fun. So very happy for you both! Congratulations!! Thank you for letting us capture your amazing day.
